I hesitated a lot about writing this blog post in particular because cat trees are a huge deal for cats of all ages and sizes.

I wrote an entire blog post about the huge benefits of cat trees. Check it out if you need any more convincing.

The cat trees currently available on Amazon Canada are not suitable for all adult cats of all sizes and energy levels. And they don’t meet all the requirements in my cat tree shopping guide.

But because I get asked a lot about Amazon cat trees, I decided to write this blog post to give you my absolute top picks and who they are suitable for.

Who Those Cat Trees Are For

The cat trees below are not suitable for high-energy adult cats, or multi-adult cats in general. They are just not stable enough or do not have large enough seats.

However, they are great for growing kittens to learn how to jump, climb, balance, play, and understand what their bodies can do. They are great training tools to build both strength and flexibility.

Some of the cat trees below could work for some adult cats, so for each cat tree, I will mention who it’s suitable for to make it easy for you.

Please disregard companies’ claims about the cat tree being heavy duty or that it accommodates multiple large-size adult cats.

What truly matters is the cat tree height, design, stability on its own, and the size of the seats.

The cat trees below are sorted by height only, starting with the tallest ones.

Let’s go.

Final thoughts

Cat trees are non-negotiable for any cats. They play an essential role in building kittens’ confidence, body strength, and balance, learning essential skills like jumping, climbing, and navigating multiple surface levels and shapes.

If you are a foster parent for kittens, those cat trees are an absolute must.

Some of those cat trees also work well for one large-size cat with low to average energy levels.

Placing heavy weights at the base of those cat trees improve their stability. However, they should also be attached to a wall, if that’s required.

I will launch other blog posts shortly for my top picks of cat trees for large and high-energy cats. Stay tuned.
