Holistic Cat Training
Vancouver and Online
Resolving the Root Causes of Feline Anxiety, Stress, and Litter box Issues
For conscious, loving cat parents ready to help their struggling cats
Cats are never crazy or unreasonable. They are highly misunderstood and often judged! If you truly want to help your cat thrive, you are in the right place.
Hi, I’m Doaa: A Holistic Cat Trainer
I’m a holistic cat trainer based in Vancouver, Canada. I’ve worked with cats my entire life, including rescue cats and street cats across different countries and environments, and they have taught me everything I know about what they need, want, and often struggle with.
Unfortunately, cats remain highly misunderstood and unfairly judged.
We often place them in stressful, unfulfilling environments and relationships without realizing it, or put them through extremely challenging experiences, then become frustrated when they reach their breaking points and start showing us that they are truly struggling.
Many well-intentioned cat parents miss the early, subtle signs that their cat is struggling. Others wait months or even years before seeking the help their cat desperately needs.
The reality is that your cat can’t solve their own problems.
They can’t create the enriching indoor environment they need (their home is their entire world), meet their unmet needs, improve their relationships, or make any changes to the world they’re living in.
All they can do is communicate that they’re struggling and ask for help through their behavior.
Litter box issues, anxiety, boredom, rough play, aggression, hiding, overgrooming, and excessive vocalization are not personality flaws. They are feedback.
I created these holistic cat training programs to help cats struggling with behavior challenges of all kinds, and to support loving cat parents through in-person training in Vancouver and online coaching across Canada, so they can give their cats the life they truly deserve.
It is an honor and privilege to share your home with a cat.
Let’s help them live the happy, fulfilled life they truly deserve.
Cat Behavior Issues I Can Help You With
This is for cats who are struggling with any behavior problem, and desperately need someone who will finally listen, and solve their problems for good.
And for the devoted cat parents looking for clarity, support and lasting change.
You’re in the right place if your cat…

is struggling with cat aggression, biting, scratching, hissing, or rough play
is struggling with fear, anxiety, or stress
gets easily triggered (Hides under beds, startles easily, and doesn't feel safe in their own home)
is unhappy, and feels misunderstood despite your best efforts
is struggling with relationship conflicts at home
is struggling with boredom, overstimulation (high energy and frustrated cats)
has been through past trauma, abandonment, or neglect

is overweight or has special needs
is preparing for a major life transition (travel, new home, or new babies)
is a kitten or teenager - the earlier we start, the better
is a senior cat - because emotional growth and transformation have no age limit
And if you, the cat parent, …
are struggling to understand your cat, meet their needs, or solve their problems
are overwhelmed, stuck in trial-and-error, and unsure of what your cat truly needs
want to make your cat happy and fulfilled, but don't know how
are struggle to reconnect with your cat after a rough period, or a negative experience
are a first-time cat parent, kitten parent, and you want to start on the right foot
How Holistic Cat Behavior Training Works
Holistic cat behavior training is a journey toward understanding your cat on a deeper level – and solving behavior challenges at the root, for good.
Cats are a lot like us. They want their needs met, their boundaries respected, fair treatment, and a comfortable home.
Our job as cat parents is to give them all of that and so much more.
This is a judgment-free space where we focus on truly understanding your cat’s needs, wants, struggles, and helping them thrive.
Because you control your cat’s environment and experiences, we’ll use that to your advantage – creating the right home, routine, and lifestyle while also boosting their confidence and improving their social interactions.
By the end, your cat will feel safe, happy, and fulfilled – and you’ll feel empowered as the cat parent they’ve always needed.

What You’ll Get in All Training Program
Every program, Reset, Thrive, or Transform, gives you the same core experience. The only difference is how deep we go and how long we work together:
———-
Why Start Now
🚫 The Cost of Alternatives:
Most mainstream advice for cats sounds like: “try a pheromone diffuser,” “give your cat anti-anxiety meds,” or “they’re just being cats.”
These quick fixes may numb the symptoms at best – but they never address the emotional need behind the behavior, leaving your cat stressed, misunderstood, and still struggling.
———-
⚠️ The Cost of Waiting:
Behavior issues don’t magically disappear – and the “let’s just wait and see” mindset only makes things worse.
The longer your cat struggles, the more those patterns become chronic, wired-in, and exponentially harder to reverse. Meanwhile, your relationship weakens. More confusion, more frustration, more stress – on both sides.
Every day your cat feels unseen, unheard, and misunderstood is another day of unnecessary suffering.
———-
❤️ The Truth:
Your cat can’t “misbehaves”. They communicate the only way they know how – often feeling powerless, overwhelmed, and desperate for help.
Your cat deserves real support, understanding, and emotional safety. Just as much as we all do.
And the moment you step in to help them – instead of judging or suppressing symptoms – everything changes. For both of you.
If you’ve read this far, you already know the problem won’t fix itself – and that your cat deserves more than Google tips and calming sprays.
Below are the individual programs to see which one fits you & your cat the most.

Doaa helped me understand the underlying issue of my cat, Luna, who became extremely anxious after a traumatic pigeon encounter so I took her to the vet numerous times and they kept giving her injections but it only helped short term and she would return to her stressed and anxious self.I felt stuck so I reached out to Doaa for help and she really listened to my concern and was able to help me understand WHY my cat was so stressed and HOW to help improve the situation. She was able to provide continuous support at any time and answered any questions or concerns.I highly recommend Doaa to help with your pet needs! Thank you so much for helping us!! Luna and Simba appreciate you so much!

Out of nowhere my 1.5 year-old indoor loving cat suddenly started peeing on my bed. I tried everything. Nothing worked!Doaa immediately understood my cat’s personality, and came up with a game plan.It took some time but we’re finally able to nail down why she was peeing on the bed.
Whenever I tell people about Doaa I always refer to her as my cat’s “therapist” because that’s what she was.
★★★★★
Our experience with Doaa was remarkable! Our kitty had grown very anxious. He would wake us up screaming and meowing through the night EVERY SINGLE NIGHT for years. We got him on medication that would sometimes help, but our issue wasn’t fixed.
After 2 months of working with Doaa, my cat is completely off his medication, and sleeps through the night EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! It’s a miracle. Doaa truly knows cats inside and out. We give her a million stars, highly recommend!

We are incredibly blessed to have found Doaa at Catffeinated The Pet Mom.
Our kitty was struggling with litter box issues, and we were feeling lost—until we met Doaa.
She has an exceptional ability to truly understand cats, and her patience, knowledge, and compassion made all the difference.
She took the time to listen to our concerns, thoughtfully assessed the situation, and provided practical, insightful advice tailored to our kitty’s needs.
Her passion for animals shines through in everything she does. Thanks to her guidance, we’re already seeing positive changes! We couldn’t be more grateful.

As a first time kitten mom, I wanted to provide the best nutrition and environment for my cat but I was quite unsure how since I was inexperienced.
Doaa has helped me tremendously and I am very grateful for everything she taught me.
She showed me the good food brands so I know my cat has the best nutrition. She taught me how to raise a strong, confident and independent cat, how to regulate my cat’s energy, how to communicate and build a strong bond with my cat and how to navigate the crazy adolescent cat stage.
She also showed me how to cat proof my apartment to ensure my cat is 100% safe.
Her deep understanding of cats and their behaviour allows her to assess the situation and identify what my cat was trying to tell me.
I totally recommend Doaa if you ever need some guidance on how to provide the best for your beloved pet.
Thank you very much for all your support Doaa! I couldn’t have done this without you! 🙏

FAQ
Do you work with all indoor cats?
Yes. All indoor cats are welcome here.
Whether your cat is struggling with litter box issues, fear, anxiety, stress, or aggression, it will be my honor to work with yours.
Do you work with indoor/outdoor cats?
No. I only work with indoor cats.
There’s just no point of doing any cat training if your cat goes outside on their own. It’s very risky, dangerous, and even life-threatening.
There are safe ways to take your cat outside. Happy to help you with that, if you are open to it
Is catification required for cat training?
Yes. Personalized & effective catification is mandatory for cat behavior training.
Your home is your cat’s entire world.
Cats also have high territorial needs. To feel safe, and at home, they need a home environment that’s functional, secure, and fulfilling.
Having a cat-friendly home prevent and dissolve many cat behavior problems.
But don’t worry. I will tell you exactly what to buy and where to place it, based on your cats needs, and your home layout.
What’s your Vancouver service area for in-person holistic cat training programs?
Do you offer online holistic cat training programs throughout Canada?
Is there a difference between in-person and online cat training?
Not at all.
Cat training is all about creating a fulfilling indoor environment where your cat feels safe, at home, fulfilled, and truly self-entertained, while meeting their needs, strengthening your relationship, and addressing the root causes behind their behavior.
My physical presence doesn’t make any difference.
During our initial consultation, we’ll do a virtual tour of your home so I can assess your cat’s environment and identify opportunities for improvements.
Throughout the program, you’ll send me videos, photos, and updates of the changes you are making, and your cat’s feedback so we can refine and improve as we go.
What if I need help with more than one cat?
If your cats are already living together peacefully, we can use the same cat training programs above to support all cats within your household. Please request a custom quote in your booking request.
However, if your cats are struggling to coexist, experiencing ongoing conflicts, or are currently separated, an introduction or reintroduction program is needed as well. Please check out my cat introduction programs in the main menu.
Do cat training programs include cat-to-cat or dog-to-cat introductions?
No – Cat training programs are focused on individual cat behavior issues. For multi-pet households needing introduction support, please check out my pet introduction programs in the main menu.
Will I be able to implement this training with my busy schedule?
Yes – absolutely.
My work is entirely personalized, results-driven, and designed to fit into your lifestyle.
For cats in particular, creating the right indoor environment, providing plenty of self-entertainment activities, and establishing an effective daily routine are often the foundations of success. These changes help your cat feel safe, stay active, and remain fulfilled and self-entertained, even when you’re busy.
I do my absolute best to create an implementation plan that is realistic, achievable, and easy to integrate into your everyday life.
What if I need to take a break during the program?
Life happens – short breaks are totally okay. As long as we stay in touch and keep things moving, we can work around it.
What doesn’t work is long pauses or disappearing for months.
This process relies on consistency, and requires commitment to create lasting change.
What is WhatsApp support?
It means you don’t have to wait until the next session if something comes up. You’ll have a private WhatsApp chat with me where you can share quick updates, photos, or videos of your cat’s progress, ask questions, and get help with challenges in real time.
This keeps me in the loop, speeds up your progress, and gives you peace of mind knowing you’re never doing this alone.
What kind of results can I expect?
These holistic cat training programs are entirely results-driven. My goal is to solve your cat’s problems, meet their needs, and create a fulfilling indoor environment where they feel safe, at home, and truly fulfilled.
Progress is directly tied to implementation, consistency, communication, and your willingness to see things from your cat’s perspective.
As long as you actively participate, implement the training plan, and keep me updated on your cat’s feedback, you can expect meaningful improvements and lasting results over time.
How is holistic cat training different from traditional cat training?
Most traditional cat behavior training focuses on managing symptoms or finding quick fixes. Or worse, treating cats like dogs, which often creates more stress for your cat.
My approach is radically different.
I focus on uncovering and resolving the root causes driving your cat’s behavior in the first place, while meeting your cat’s specific needs and wants.
This includes dissolving sources of stress and conflict, meeting their territorial needs, upgrading their environment (their entire world), improving nutrition, and adding plenty of self-entertainment activities to keep them active, curious, and fulfilled.
My work also includes improving your cat’s relationships with everyone they live with, whether that’s people, cats, dogs, or even a new baby.
Instead of asking, “How do we stop this symptom behavior?”
I ask, “What’s driving this symptom behavior in the first place?”
That’s where lasting change happens.
Do you teach cats verbal commands or tricks?
Absolutely not.
Cats are not dogs. They were born to lead, not follow. It’s us who need to follow their cues, not the other way around.
Do you use clicker training or operant conditioning with cats?
No.
Cats are very capable of making their own decisions, and they naturally choose to behave differently once we solve their problems and meet their needs.
My focus is not on teaching your cat what to do.
My focus is on helping and supporting your cat through whatever they’re struggling with.
Once we dissolve the root causes driving their behavior, there will be no need for it.
Do you use positive reinforcement with cats?
My focus is not on changing behavior through rewards.
My focus is on positive communication, understanding what’s driving your cat’s behavior, and teaching you how to support them through triggering situations.
Once we address the root causes, behavior often changes naturally.
Can cats be trained like dogs?
Absolutely not.
Cats are an entirely different species. They were born to lead, not follow.
Many cat behavior struggles happen because we treat cats like dogs.
The more we understand and respect cats for who they are, the easier it becomes to work with them.
Can cat behavior problems be solved without medication?
Of course.
The only exception is when your cat’s behavior is driven by an underlying medical condition. In those cases, we’ll work alongside a traditional or holistic vet to make sure your cat receives the medical care they need.
Anxiety, stress, fear, conflict, and many litter box issues are often driven by stressors in your cat’s environment, relationships, daily life, or how they’re being treated.
Whether a medical condition is involved or not, we still need to address all the underlying factors if we want lasting change.
Can you work alongside veterinarians?
Absolutely.
If your cat has a medical condition, we’ll work alongside your veterinarian to make sure they receive the care they need.
Even when medical challenges are involved, we can still improve your cat’s emotional well-being, confidence, environment, happiness, and overall fulfillment.
After all, emotional health and physical health don’t exist in isolation.
Do cats need in-person training?
Absolutely not.
Unfortunately, that’s a common misconception that’s holding many cat owners back from getting their cats the help they desperately need.
Cats don’t need in-person training. It’s all about creating the right environment and making the changes your cat is asking for through their behavior.
We’ll do a virtual home walkthrough during our session, so I can see everything I need to see.
For cats, the environment matters far more than having a trainer physically present in your home.
