FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Who will I be working with?
You will be working directly with me. I don’t have other trainers. So yes, it’s a relationship 😁
Do you work with “aggressive” dogs and cats?
Absolutely! Yes. They are sensitive; not aggressive. And they are in a great deal of suffering.
My pet has been having this problem for years! Is there hope?
Behaviour is a dynamic thing. All behaviors are treatable and trainable once we identify their root causes. It will take us more time with chronic behaviors; since they are so wired up, but that’s it. I have an unlimited faith in our pets’ ability to heal and improve, and they always proof me right.
Are we a good fit?
We are a good fit if:
– You love and respect your pets.
– You are committed to help them feel better, safer, and happier.
– You are coachable, open-minded, and willing to actively participate in this process (I can’t do it without you).
What are pet training programs?
They are a “Done with you” result-focused coaching programs aimed to dissolve behavior problems for good, create harmony and peace at home, improve your relationship with your furbabies, and their relationship with each other, and help you understand them on a deeper level.
I will give you all the tools and support you need in the process, so you won’t need me or any other trainer ever again 🙂
Do you guarantee results?
Yes, making your dogs and cats happy and fulfilled is my calling, that’s why I do what I do. I’m very committed to improving their quality of life and yours, making progress, and producing long lasting results. I believe in transformation; not information. If you do the work, results are inevitable.
It’s only a matter of “When”; not “If”, we get the desired outcome. Since chronic behaviours tends to take longer time to dissolve.
What is the difference between in-person and remote training?
None. There’s absolutely no difference between in-person and remote training. My job is to train YOU. You are the one doing the work in all cases, but I will be with you every step of the way to guide and support you.
I do more remote training than in-person, and I have never had one compaint about it.
Do you train dogs remotely?
Yes. I’m training YOU; not your dog, and how to respond to them. This is also a holistic training; not a mechanical one!
Given how your energy, emotions, mindset, and behaviours greatly impact your dog, and that I can’t simpy be with you all the time, regardless of whether our sessions are in-person or remotely, during our program, I will ask for regular videos showing me how you interact with you dog in various situations; including on walks, and how they respond to you, so I can coach you through it, and address all the challenges you have changing your own behaviours.
How would I know if our training sessions will be in person or remotely?
I will confirm you once you submit a booking request and I get your address. You can also check out my in-person service area map on the contact page
Where do you do in-person coaching sessions?
Within Vancouver central locations. Please check out the map on the contact page
I’m not sure which training program to choose from. Can you help me?
Absolutely! I can recommend a training program for you based on the number and type of pets you have, the current issues and how chronic they are.
How much time do I need to spend on training?
This is about doing things differently; not doing more things; per say. It’s about having the right mindset and energy, doing the right things and setting up an effective daily routine that works for both you & your pets.
Can I go on vacation during a training program?
Yes. But ideally not more than a month. We just need to plan for it together. And make sure that it won’t impact our progress in anyway.
What level of support do you offer?
For training programs, I offer unlimited text support usually on Whatsapp. We can also talk or video chat in between sessions; if needed. We will stay in touch in between sessions regardless to keep me posted with progress, updates and to address any issues.
Your pets are the ones leading the training, so their feedback is extremely important.
I’m not ready yet to commit to training program or I can’t afford one, but I still need help! What should I do?
We can have an online coaching session to get you started. And book more essions as we go, or switch to a training program later on when you are ready, so you are moving on your own pace.
Online coaching sessions are one-off sessions we can use to start or continue the training.
How do I book?
Please submit a booking request from the service page you are interested in (Links to all my service pages are at the end of this page).
Booking requests are mandatory for all 1-on-1 coaching.
How long does it take to successfully do a cat-to-cat introduction?
It takes ~ 5-12 months in average to successfully go through the proper cat-to-cat introduction stages. Hence the Plus Program (5 Months) is the minimum requirement for cat-to-cat introduction.
For cat-to-cat reintroduction; and especially if the cats already had negative experiences with one another; which we need to un-do first, I usually recommend the Advanced Program (7 months) minimum.
When do we call cat-to-cat introduction a failure?
It never is! This is a relationship building process. And more often than not, the relationship dynamic between 2 cats is a manifestation of each cat’s individual issues and struggles; which we need to address first. Then it’s up to the cats how fast or slow they are willing to progress with their relationship, we will go from one stage to another at their pace and based on their feedback.
Cat parents assume it a failure only based on their very unrealistic expectations of how fast it needs to go, without even doing the proper work needed, and while skipping crucial stages! The process could take longer, and that’s totally okay as long as we are doing the right things, and seeing progress. It’s totally worth it.
How long does it take to do a dog-to-cat introduction successfully?
It dramatically varies, but in general ~ 4-7 months. It’s usually easier and faster than doing a cat-to-cat introduction because dogs don’t have any territorial needs and they don’t perceive cats as competition. As long as we establish the proper ranking system, teach our dogs to be very respectful around the cats, and set up the proper environment, It’s usually very straight forward. Cats are still the ones leading the entire process.
I hope you have as much faith in your dogs and cats as I do. They ALL want to feel better, safer, and happier, we just need to provide them with the favourable environment to thrive, and live their life to the fullest 🙂
