Pet Training FAQ

Check out frequently asked questions about my holistic pet training programs & coaching sessions.

Who will I be working with?

You will be working directly with me. I don’t have other trainers. So yes, it’s a relationship ๐Ÿ˜

Do you work with “aggressive” dogs and cats?

Absolutely! Yes. They are sensitive; not aggressive. And they are in a great deal of suffering.ย

My pet has been having this problem for years! Is there hope?

Behaviour is a dynamic thing. All behaviors are treatable and trainable once we identify their root causes. It might take us more time with chronic behaviors; since they are so wired up, but that’s it.
I have an unlimited faith in our pets’ ability to heal and improve, and they always proof me right.

Are we a good fit?

We are a good fit if:
    • You love and respect your pets.
    • You are committed to make them feel safer, healthier and happier.
    • You are coachable, open-minded, and action oriented.
    • You are willing to actively participate in this training (I can’t do it without you).
    • Your are looking for transformation; not just information.
    • You are looking for long lasting results; not quick fixes.

What are holistic pet training programs?

They are a โ€œDone with youโ€ result-focused coaching programs aimed to dissolve behavior problems for good, create harmony and peace at home, improve your relationship with your furbabies, their relationship with each other, and help you understand them on a deeper level.
I will give you all the tools and support you need in the process, so you won’t need me or any other trainer ever again ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you guarantee results?

Yes, making your dogs and cats happy and fulfilled, and dissolving their struggles for good is my calling, that’s why I do what I do. I’m very committed to making real progress, and producing long lasting results.
I believe in transformation; not information.
If you do the work, results are inevitable.
It’s only a matter of “When”; not “If”, we get the desired outcome, since some chronic behaviours tend to take longer to dissolve.

What is the difference between in-person and remote training?

None. There’s absolutely no difference between in-person and remote training. My job is to train YOU. You are the one doing the work in all cases, but I will be with you every step of the way to guide and support you.
I do more remote training than in-person, and I have never had one compaint about it.

Do you train dogs remotely?

Yes. I’m training YOU; not your dog, and how to respond to them. This is also a personalized holistic dog training; not a mechanical one! There is no one size that fits all dog training.
Every dog is different, and every situation is different.
Given how your energy, emotions, mindset, and behaviours greatly impact your dog, regardless of whether our sessions are in-person or remotely, you will share with me videos of how you interact with you dog in various situations; including on walks, and how they respond to you, so I can show you your blind spots and coach you through it.

How would I know if our training sessions will be in person or remotely?

I will confirm you once you submit a booking request and I get your address.
You can also check out my in-person service area map on the contact page

Where do you do in-person coaching sessions?

Within Vancouver central locations. Please check out the map on the contact page

Iโ€™m not sure which pet training program to choose from. Can you help me?

Absolutely! I can recommend a training program for you based on the number and type of pets you have, the current issues and how chronic they are.

How much time do I need to spend on training?

This is about doing things differently; not doing more things; per say. It’s about having the right mindset and energy, doing the right things and setting up an effective daily routine that works for both you & your pets.ย

Can I go on vacation during a pet training program?

Yes. But ideally not more than a month. We just need to plan for it together. And make sure that it won’t impact our progress in anyway.

What level of support do you offer?

I offer unlimited text support usually on Whatsapp for pet training programs. We can also talk or video chat in between sessions; if needed.
We will stay in touch in between sessions to keep me posted with progress, updates and to address any issues. Your pets are the ones leading the training, so their feedback is extremely important.

I’m not ready yet to commit to pet training program or I can’t afford one, but I still need help! What should I do?

We can have pet online coaching sessions instead, so you progress at your own pace.

We can also switch to a pet training program at any point when you are ready.

How do I book?

Please submit a booking request from the service page you are interested in (Links are at the end of this page).
Booking requests are mandatory for all 1-on-1 pet coaching.

How long does it take to successfully do a cat-to-cat introduction?

It takes ~ 7 months on average to successfully go through the cat-to-cat introduction stages.
It could take a bit long if we are reintroducing cats who have already had negative experieces with one another.
The Advanced Program (7 Sessions – 7 Months Commitment & supoort) is the minimum requirement for cat-to-cat introduction.

When do we call cat-to-cat introduction a failure?

It never is! This is a relationship building process. The interactions between 2 cats is usually a reflection of each cat’s individual issues and struggles. So meeting each cat’s need and dissolving their individual issues is a MUST to prepare them for a successful introduction.
Unfortuantely cat parents usually go through the introduction process way too fast, and without setting up the proper foundation.
Cats introductions must progress at the cats’ pace; not yours.

How long does it take to do a dog-to-cat introduction successfully?

It takes about ~ 5 months on average to go through the dog-to-cat introduction stages. And it must progress at the cat’s pace. Cats are the ones leading the entire process; not dogs.
The Plus Program (5 Sessions – 5 Months Commitment & supoort) is the minimum requirement for dog-to-cat introduction.
I hope you have as much faith in your dogs and cats as I do. They ALL want to feel better, safer, and happier, we just need to provide them with a desirable environment to thrive, and live their life to the fullest ๐Ÿ™‚
